Mr. Robin's was the first and only bookstore in Philadelphia to sell books written by African Americans in Philadelphia. His legacy includes the opportunity for emerging and established authors and intellectuals to read chapbooks, poetry, novels and literature, from movement during the last forty years has presented their work in the Moonstone/ Robin's Bookstore space.
